Your Missions: Crafting the UI Experience for The Outlast Trials

As a UI Designer at Red Barrels, you will be tasked with:

  • Creating concepts, prototypes, and final UI for The Outlast Trials.
  • Maintaining the established art style across the game.
  • Gathering user requirements and designing graphic elements.
  • Owning the entire UI design process, from rapid prototyping to design patterns.
  • Integrating visuals in the Unreal engine.
  • Creating compelling video content for visualization purposes.
  • Supporting the marketing department with visuals for advertising.

Profile Requirements: Are You the One We’re Looking For?

To thrive in this role, you should bring:

  • 4 years or more of prior User Interface design experience.
  • Strong self-drive and organizational skills.
  • Ideally, experience shipping at least one AAA project from start to finish.
  • Knowledge of User Interface challenges for PC versus console.
  • Strong art skills, including core graphic design competencies.
  • Proficiency in Photoshop, Illustrator, and intermediate skills in After Effects.
  • Deep knowledge of design related to user interface and ergonomics.
  • Bilingual proficiency in French and English.
  • A mandatory portfolio showcasing your design prowess.

Nice to Have:

  • Experience with live games (Game as a Service).
  • Familiarity with game engines, particularly Unreal4.
  • Passion for horror gaming, movies, or books.
