Your Role at Finch: Senior Software Engineer, Fullstack
As a Senior Software Engineer, at Fullstack at Finch, you’ll be at the forefront of designing, building, and maintaining powerful services that enable Finch’s data presentation layer. Your responsibilities include leading product expansion initiatives, developing and maintaining integrations for security and scalability, and deploying code daily. You’ll also lead large product initiatives, ensuring successful and impactful solutions for customers.
What You Bring to the Table
To thrive in this role, you should bring:
- 7+ years of relevant backend development experience in a startup environment.
- A track record of executing and delivering on large projects with high ambiguity.
- Detail-oriented approach to challenges and the ability to drive initiatives to completion.
- Exposure to high-growth startups.
- Knowledge of agile best practices and experience leveraging them to release faster.
- Excellent written and oral business communication and people skills.
Skills that Set You Apart
- Deep experience working with APIs and backend technologies.
- Strong system design skills and experience working with distributed systems.
- Experience with NodeJS, Typescript, PostgreSQL, and Redis.
- Familiarity with various API authentication and authorization methods, particularly OAuth.
- Strong knowledge of testing best practices.
Compensation and Benefits
Finch offers a competitive compensation package, including a base salary benchmarked against real-time market data and equity for all full-time roles. The minimum cash compensation (salary + commission if applicable) range for this role is $180,000 – $200,000.
